Final Debate-  100pts

 

 

Each student in class must choose a partner to spar against in an "in class" mock debate.  

 

• Each student will be paired with another student in order to debate a religious viewpoint.  The pair will determine who will debate from the viewpoint of a Born Again Christian Believer and who will debate from the viewpoints of another world view/religion.

• Optional world views/religions are: Mormon, Jehovah Witness, Islam, Atheist, Unitarianism/Poly Theism, Humanism, and Judaism.

• Debate length= 10 minutes

  • Each student will be required to respond to a question provided by the instructor/"debate mediator.

  • 1 min. for initial response and 1 min. for rebutal.

• Debate will take place during the class of week 7 and week 8.

 

Questions that may be asked? (pg. 20)

1. Origin: Where did we come from?

2. Identity: Who are we?

3. Meaning: Why are we here?

4. Morality:  How should we live?

5. Destiny: Where are we going?

6. God: Definition, Description, and Evidence for their existance.

7. Jesus:  Who is He?
