Those of us who have been in a court of law know rightly what a witness is and how they are asked to give testimony of the what they had seen and heard, and otherwise experienced. This testimony is given under oath and threat of perjury, fines, and jail time.
A wise juror will consider whether the "eye-witness" is a credible witness or not.
